WebLang24

Całkiem niedawno, bo w wakacje zainstalowaliśmy na platformie WebLang24 najnowszą wersję Moodle, a znowu przyszedł czas na zmiany. Tym razem zrobiliśmy krok (całkiem spory :-)) od e-learningu w stronę m-learningu, czyli nauczania mobilnego.

Od dzisiaj platforma WebLang24 jest dostępna również w wersji dla smartfonów i tabletów. I nie trzeba na tych urządzeniach instalować żadnych aplikacji! Wystarczy wejść na stronę weblang24.net korzystając z urządzenia mobilnego, a platforma sama rozpozna, że ma do czynienia ze smartfonem lub tabletem i załaduje się w wersji zoptymalizowanej dla niewielkich ekranów.

Od dzisiaj słuchacze szkół współpracujących z WebLang24 mogą doskonalić swoją znajomość języka wszędzie, gdziekolwiek są! :-)

In this presentation we will take a close look at the various ways in which private language schools are adopting e-learning. Why are they doing it? How do they define the relation between e-learning and their 'traditional' teaching? How do they tackle the „technical” and the „human” aspects of e-learning implementation? What tools and technologies do they use? What are the strengths and the weaknesses of the different approaches? These are some of the questions we will be investigating... 

Moodle for language teaching – pros and cons

Many of the language teaching institutions which employ e-learning (or blended learning) in their teaching, use the very popular open-source learning management system (e-learning platform) called Moodle. Moodle is a very powerful and flexible tool, but – just like any tool – it also has its drawbacks and limitations. During this presentation we will examine the pros and cons of using Moodle for language teaching. Are you thinking about implementing Moodle in your organization? Have you just done it but are not sure whether it was the right decision? Or maybe you have just decided you are not going to use it but are wondering what you are going to miss out on?
